Europako muga autonomo eta militarizatu baten aldeko ahalegin jarraitua misterioz eta informazio faltaz inguratuta dago. Altitude ertaineko eta iraupen luzeko tripulatu gabeko aireko ibilgailua jarraitzeko ahalegin huts batek zinemagilea akats digital baten barruan kokatzen du – Frontex, industria-konplexu militarra eta tokiko hegazkin-begiraleen komunitate baten artean nonbait.
El 30 de abril de 2021, Frontex realizó el primer vuelo de prueba del Heron 1, un dron de vigilancia militar estacionado en la isla mediterránea de Malta. El continuo esfuerzo por lograr una frontera europea autónoma y militarizada está rodeado de misterio y falta de información. Un intento fallido de rastrear el vehículo aéreo no tripulado de media altitud y larga autonomía reubica al cineasta en una falla digital, a medio camino entre Frontex, el complejo militar-industrial y una comunidad local de observadores de aviones.
On April 30, 2021 Frontex carried out the first test flight of the Heron 1 – a military surveillance drone stationed on the Mediterranean island of Malta. The continued effort towards an autonomous and militarised European border is engulfed in mystery and lack of information. A failed endeavour to track the medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle, relocates the filmmaker inside a digital glitch – somewhere between Frontex, the military industrial complex and a local plane spotter community.
